Countywide Action Plan (CAP)

WHAT IS CAP?

Lebanon County is one of 34 counties in Pennsylvania currently implementing a Countywide Action Plan (CAP) as part of the state’s effort to improve water quality in the Chesapeake Bay. These local plans are a key part of Pennsylvania’s Phase 3 Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP), which focuses on reducing nutrient and sediment pollution in waterways that ultimately flow into the Chesapeake Bay.

Lebanon County’s CAP has one goal: improving and protecting our clean water resources throughout our community not only to benefit ourselves, but our neighboring communities and ultimately, the Chesapeake Bay.
