Manure Injection Incentive Program

LCCD recognizes the importance of utilizing manure nutrients in an efficient and effective manner while decreasing soil and nutrient contamination to local waterways. The manure injection incentive program is intended to incentivize agricultural operators interested in trying manure injection at a lower cost.

Program Participants are compensated $40 per acre per season in 2024


Must be injected on the same acres in spring and fall (if applicable)

Maximum of 200 acres per operation

Maximum of $16,000 per applicant per year

PROGRAM lIMITATIONS

Manure must be injected between March 1, 2024 and December 14, 2024

Manure Management Plan or Nutrient Management Plan must be updated to include the allowable application rate for injection

Funding is limited and allocated on a first come, first serve basis, with priority given to have not injected manure in the past
