TREE PLANTINGS
Why should we plant trees?
Trees are a crucial part of a healthy ecosystem. They filter soil and water pollutants, protecting our natural resources while producing the oxygen we need to breathe. In Lebanon County, the annual benefits provided by tree cover (including reductions in air pollution, stormwater, and carbon dioxide) total $20.8 million. Trees can also increase property value and improve mental well-being.
To date, the Lebanon County Conservation District has planted over 4,000 trees in Lebanon County!
